A hard and beautiful trekking to a number of highlights in the Nepal Himalayas.
Mostly not following the “highway” from Lukla to Everest BaseCamp and back.
We start more south, because we don’t want to fly domestic. After Namche Bazar we walk west (most trekkers go north-east) and after a few days across the Renjo La to Gokyo. On this pass a stunning view of Everest.
Descend to Gokyo and visit the 5e lake/ Cho Oyu basecamp, an experience you will never forget. Next morning maybe going up Gokyo Ri, for almost the same view as from Renjo La, but yes… not to go… maybe you will regret it the rest of your life.
Then the crossing of Cho La. Pure ice, but with small crampons not dangerous.
Descend and ascend to sleep 2 nights in Gorakshep (5140). From there a visit to Everest BaseCamp en eventually Kala Patar.
During the long descend for a few days we will follow the popular route to Lukla and on to the beginning of the road, from where we go home with a jeep.
