A warm welcome and greetings from the Himalaya’s!
Himalaya Travel Adventures is a fully authorized travel, trekking and outdoor company under the registration of Government of Nepal Rules and Regulation act. We are based in Thamel, Kathmandu and we specialize in trekking/hiking trips, peak climbing and mountaineering expeditions, four-wheel drive, biking, rafting and safari tours. We offer trips of a lifetime in the Indian subcontinent: Nepal, Tibet, India and Bhutan.
For decades, we have been offering the best handpicked walking- and cultural tours in the Himalaya’s. We would like to call ourselves the Adventure Specialists in this region. With experience of living both in Asia and Europe, we have come to know the importance of cultural variety.
In one sentence, we would like to see travelling as a philosophy: the world in which we live has so much to offer and yet so little time to venture out and explore.
Let’s go on an adventure to the Himalayas!
Himalaya Travel Adventures
Sahadev Rana Magar (trekking guide and founder)
Sahadev is a trekking guide, born and raised in the remote village of Kavre District in Nepal. Following his father’s footsteps, he completed his studies in tourism hospitality and guiding at the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management. He is the founder of Himalaya Travel Adventures, organizing and leading tours and treks in all the wonderful regions in and around the Himalayas in Nepal. He continues to build up his qualifications with ongoing training in mountain rescue, including first aid training.
Lana Donse (yoga teacher and therapist)
Lana (www.yogalana.com) is a yoga teacher and therapist. She is part of the Yoga Trekking Nepal team. Her purpose is to guide other people in their process of finding harmony and freedom in their life. She teaches hatha and yin-yang classes and offers individual yoga therapy programmes, in addition to her job as a psychologist. Lana is also very passionate about travelling, writing and nature.
Sahadev and Lana met in 2014, when Lana travelled to Nepal for the Langtang-Gosainkunda-Helambu trekking.
After this 11-day adventure, they kept in touch when Lana returned home. In the meantime, Sahadev completed his master’s studies in Culture and Lana graduated as a psychologist. She was inspired to do a yoga teacher training and started working as a yoga teacher and therapist. After a while, the idea came up to combine the best of both worlds: a trekking adventure and the healing power of yoga.
So now we are organizing a Yoga Trekking in the Himalayas each year! We would be happy to welcome you to the story as well.
Olga Galabova (yoga teacher and outdoor enthusiast)
Olga (www.yolga.nl) is a passionate Yoga teacher, a retreat leader and an enthusiastic active person, who loves all kinds of outdoor activities – walking, hiking, trekking, running, biking, having fun.
She is one of these people who were lucky to find their path after being torn between working as a lawyer, family life and her personal interests, which were impossible to handle all together without stress. At first yoga helped her face the stress but very soon it became her passion and true devotion.
Olga is now a certified yoga teacher based in Amsterdam, experienced in Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga yoga. She introduces to the practitioners asana and postures with an aim to develop an awareness of the body, the mind and the breath in a balanced and motivational way.
She has been running Yoga and Hiking events in Europe for years and she joins us and would be glad to offer pre- and post-hiking and trekking classes for all Nepal explorers.
